    Re: KB6 gbox oils questions

If this is an older model Isuzu with the Gearmax axle then it is GL5 SAE 85W/140. If you fit a new C &P make sure you run it in with many short light duty trips to keep the heat down. The worst is to...
  2. Re: Farm Stay near Clarens - What to Add Here??

Petri personally I prefer the more isolated sites. Meaning I like a bit of space between myself and my neighbour. Generally most people are pretty organised. I do think though it all depends on what...

    Sticky: Re: I need 6 x 139 wheel spacers.

Still looking for a set (or only 2 for my echo caravan) of 139/6 (Hilux etc) spacers 50mm preferable but less will also do. Allegro can't find the ones he thought he had. I am willing to part with...

Re: What did you do to your Mitsu Today ?

As mentioned, I am referring mainly to the auto box. With the detune on Gen4.1 vs Gen3 3.2DID and the lock up speed on the TC, I find wheel size is critical for performance and torque. There is a...

Re: What did you do to your Mitsu Today ?

My only problem with larger tires is that especially with an auto, it interferes with the performance and economy:(:(. I was given some 255/65/17's (undersize) which I replaced the 265/70/17's...

    Re: WRND Electronics

I have had one in my offroad caravan for about 18 - 24 months now and my son in his for about a year now. We have had no problems.

Re: OBDII scanner as additional "dashboard"

It does, you must just follow the advice on Pajero Club Victoria (Aus). I think Cats also posted what to do and how to get it to show.

Re: OBDII scanner as additional "dashboard"

What I like as well is you can set alarms for temps and voltages on the different Torque displays. Unfortunately no EGT on mine. Works well though.

Re: Alko Hitch bumping on Jurgens Oryx

I had a similar problem and fitted a new shock and rubber. Even with a new shock I found that the bump at pull away was still there. Checked with Alko and rubber must be fitted to damper at pull...
  16. Re: Anybody got experience with this TPMS?

Yes it looks the same as the one the family had installed in my vehicle for me as a gift. Works well no problems. Waiting to fit new wheels to caravan and I will then fit additional 2 x internal...
  17. Re: Using the car charger during load shedding?

You could also use a Dc to DC from car to inverter batteries but at R2000.00 odd for a WRND unit it is not a cheap option:o. This would boost the supply to the inverter batteries and or compensate...

    Re: ASC light comes on

Yes Mike could well be on the right track. Also check that they are not LED bulbs someone has fitted. The Gen4 electrical system does not seem to like LED bulbs particularly in the brake lights and...

  20. Re: Dodged a huge bullet on a dual battery solar setup.

    [QUOTE=Gengis;4374207]

Funny thing is that the battery is still working, but the two ends are slightly puffed out, and I would imagine that it has lost a fair bit of electrolyte.

    Well from my...

    Re: Gas and paraffin lights

Yes you just reminded me why we don't use them vs LED. Got 2 x grandchildren and those lamps get super hot.
  22. Re: Dodged a huge bullet on a dual battery solar setup.

This is a cheaper possible alternative from Micro Robotics for just R98.00. Rated for 10A and could be used on solar systems as well. 12V and 220V available.

  23. Re: Dodged a huge bullet on a dual battery solar setup.

Which makes me think that the chargers with a temp sensor are actually a very good idea. My company sells them and they are on special at the moment. 8 stage intelligent charger. 5 year guarantee...

    Sticky: Re: I need 6 x 139 wheel spacers.

:confused:I am looking for a set of 50mm (preferably) 6 stud / 139 (eg Hilux) wheel spacers. Looking for only 2 x but will buy a set even 38mm. The Pajero's 17" rim has a positive offset of 46mm so...

  29. Re: Trickle charge via cigarette lighter plug?

I think the cigarette lighter plug that came with chargers was also encouraged by the electric engine bonnet catch. ie - If you had a flat battery you were in a pickle. Thus you plugged in to the...

  35. Re: Trickle charge via cigarette lighter plug?

If in doubt leave it out!:)

I have a B/H plug that chargers my caravan battery while driving. Simply plug the charger in there with a B/H plug - Wife brags that we now have a hybrid!
