    Use an empty tube of Painters Mate etc. Push out the plunger with a 6mm rod. Fill with grouting, cement or whatever. Cut nozzle to size. Use it over and over...

    Replaced my sump last weekend.so far no leaks. The 1st time in many years.

    I need to replace the sump on my TD5 Defender this weekend and will be using a new rubber gasket.

    Do I use any sealant with it or does it go on dry?

    Thanks. I will get my old one repaired. At least there is no rush now.

    I did a quick Google search on the diameter and it seems that 16mm is standard. This means the insert job was botched and repaired by going one size up.
