    It seems like the auto gearbox is toast. The guys from ZF very kindly checked the box with their diagnostic equipment and there were no faults in the ECU. The xyz switch is fine but the oil is dirty...

    First establish if your vehicles headlight system is a positive or negative switched system. If it's a negative switched system and you connect the relays up incorrectly your headlights won't work...
