Re: Gd6 Hilux: Water on the floor?

Most likely cause. Sometimes the drip pipe is blocked with mud on the engine side, check that first.

    Re: New tire dilemma

I had Wranglers on my Hilux and have since replaced them with Grabbers. The Wranglers lasted for 50k km and by the looks of it the Grabbers will do about the same, they are currently on 20k km. I...

    Re: Land Cruiser 300 - 3.3L V6 diesel

Lol, sorry shouldn't have quoted your post. But the point of my post is that if one considers the resale value and long term durability of 200 series Cruisers, the selling price of the new 300 is all...

Drive and maintain both for 300000km and then sell them.........the Cruiser will save you half a bar.

Re: Toyota Prado 150 4.0 V6 VX Running Costs

With all due respects suspension problems are very few and far between. I have owned two 150 VX's, sold both at over 300k km, no issues whatsoever. What problems did you have with your Prado?

    Re: Land Cruiser 300 - 3.3L V6 diesel

Just after launch certain used car dealers will be selling 300's at a premium of at least R300k over retail, some customers will just not wait!!
  23. Re: Land Cruiser 80 Series sells for R1 935 644-48

Lots of money, but, whatacar!!!! (should be manual though) I'd say good value when there are people out there willing to pay R400k for an Escort 1600 Sport. ;D

Fortuner Re: Longevity of 2.8 model

I know of a few with over 300000km (2.4 and 2.8), absolutely no issues, at least one 2.8 with over 400000km, also no issues. In my opinion the GD engines are excellent.
