    Re: 2019 Cruiser 79 questions

Not that you would take a website as gospel, but the ratios certainly haven't changed on the TSA website.

    Re: Game Drive Recommendations?

CKGR you are on your own.

The only place in Hwange that will offer this will be Robins. Where are you staying?

In Kasane there are plenty of boat operators, the lodge you are staying at should...

    Re: Cruiseuh?

If you are towing a heavy load don't consider the 79 V6. I have one and on the odd occasion I have to tow it's really not good.

Otherwise it's a great bush / weekend vehicle.

    In my opinion the...

  11. Re: Hwange - best camping route for 7 nights August 2020

Depending on your speed in the park I would say 5/6 hours from Kaz to Ngweshla. You will need to check in at Main camp for Ngweshla. They would probably do Deteema too, even if by radio to Robins /...
  12. Re: Hwange - best camping route for 7 nights August 2020

If you want to do all 3, this is what I'd do.

From Kasane enter at Kazangula and head to Vic Falls and enter Hwange at Main camp. From there head to Ngweshla. You may even have time for a quick...

  14. Re: Hwange - best camping route for 7 nights August 2020

    Tracy,

I'd hate to have seen your rushed Moremi itinerary. For 6/7 nights I'd do two spots, max three if I had to.

I really like Ngweshla but it is hard to sit in camp and get a view of the...

Re: Mana Pools or Gonarezhou NP?

I spoke to a mate of mine who has a concession in Mana. He says it is incredibly dry at the moment with very little grazing (they are actually thinking of trucking in feed for the animals).

    Re: 79 V8 Clutch

Personal opinion, theses clutches are marginal. I have a V6 (so much less torque than the V8) and in certain situations they slip, smoke and stink.

Re: Mana Pools or Gonarezhou NP?

If you haven't done Gona then do it, it's a magical place. Some parts are very like Mana (just on a smaller scale).

Regards campsites, I think you're being bluffed (although I can't think why)....

Re: Clarens to Underberg via Lesotho

Re: Water requirements for wild camping

A lot of factors that come into play, most especially heat and access to decent river water (for showering and washing), as well as what type of shower you use.

In winter you could comfortably get...
