    Battery switched off, went into deep drainage lockout mode where only the technical division can wake it up.

    Why it switched off? No idea, it was charging and well above 60%soc. Just randomly...

    By far and large I prefer a proper smart Bms over a shunt. A smart shunt like Victrons is nice but unnecessary if the BMS of the battery is half decent.

    I have found depending on amp draw of the fridge 5A to be the minimum amount required to A.) Keep fridge powered and B.) Battery above 13.2V.

    So a 100w panel is the minimum you're going to achieve...

    Here's a cheap set of recovery tracks being used successfully. Mate paid R1200 for the pair on take a lot.

    We intended to break them. And didn't.

    Made ramps out of them, drove 2 vehicles...

    I've done a whole bunch of recoveries with my ranger, always either used a soft shackle wrapped around the rear bar.

    Worked well thus far, although in pictures I often get the keyboard warriors...
