    504/507 is the same thing generally. 504 is supposed to be for petrol and 507 for diesel, but itís the same specification.

    I guess the best is you check the actual part numbers at VW. I cannot imagine them being different. On air suspension models they are identical.

    Never found a code that works unfortunately. Only way to solve the issue is the starter motor replacement. Never had problems after that and it also massively extends battery life.

    I'd call a few more dealerships if I was you. They are supposed to have a master set of all the lock nut sockets. Each on has a number, that one can be ordered, if not from them, order overseas....

    The oil leak likely has nothing to do with the oil that you put in itself, it is a common problem on the 7P, and probably why you neede to top up oil for starters. Expensive to fix too.
