    Re: Upgrade my car carrier

While loading the tractor I noticed some cracks in the a-frame. They were def not new as they had rust in them.

So yesterday I pulled out the A-frame and strengthened it.

Re: Discovery: What have you done with your Discovery today?

All headlights are acrylic today. So it is harder than anything you put over it.

Sand it with 1500grid and then 2000. Then buff.

  12. Re: Main battery getting fried in Toyota Landcruiser Bakkie

Just measure the charge voltage. Should never be higher that about 14,2v. Measured on the battery.
  13. Re: Main battery getting fried in Toyota Landcruiser Bakkie

I fried batteries as well, but it was due to the solar regulator that was overcharging. It was one of those analogue units. Changed to a digital 10 A unit and that was about 3yrs ago. No problems...

Don't know what the differences is on that model. But I did have a Quantum body on a d4d chassis and it would work brilliantly.

  22. Re: Chev Utility Club 1.4 petrol sheer frustration

Picked up something else. There is a couple of earth cables that give in. And they all run from the back of the head, next to the cam sprocket. 1 goes to the battery and the other to the ECU.
