Wrangler 2dr Re: Wrangler 2,8 Should I buy one?

    Hi Rudi,

Issues with the 2.8 CRD are well documented on this forum.
If you can find one that has been well maintained with services done every 10k km and not 20k kms as per usual service...

Re: 2005 JGC 5.7 Hemi Not Reversing

Very true! Although I have a 2015, I do know that the 2011 models had quite a few issues, especially electrical. 2011 was the first year of the WK2's as far as I know, so one would expect some issues...

Re: Adendorff: Mac Afric Mgener 553 generator

    Hi,

I bought the 7.5kVa one about 3 months ago and so far all good, but only time will tell. The reviews on MacAfric were generally good (on the forum as well) hence my decision.

    Re: Jeep Gladiator

Saw one just now in the exact same colour in Centurion. As mentioned already, they do look even better in real life tbh. For some reason they don't look as long in real life compared to photos???....

    Very nice! Love that colour.

Perhaps air in the AC or coolant line?
  9. Re: Gen 4 Pajero 3.8 v6 Freeflow Exhaust +Chipping

I'll be very hesitant if consumption is your primary concern. The cost to do this will take forever to recoup via the POSSIBLE fuel savings.

Wrangler 2dr Re: Tyres for Jeep Wrangler

AFAIK 245/75/17 is stock in SA, but 255/75/17 in the US (for JK/JKU's)
  11. Re: Gen 4 Pajero 3.8 v6 Freeflow Exhaust +Chipping

You are going to waste your time and money to be honest. There isn't really anything you can do to improve fuel consumption or performance on a N/A petrol unfortunately.

    A free flow should make...

Re: What brands for 33x10.5x15 ?

Only BFG and Mickey Thompson on Errol's Tyres...
I would go with BFG's KM3s for sure. Many good reviews on them and they look very good as an extra!

Wrangler 2dr Re: Tyres for Jeep Wrangler

One advantage of the 255/75/17 is that you ought to find replacement tires, especially GY Wranglers, for cheap on places like Facebook or Gumtree as many Wrangler owners take their stock tires off...

Wrangler 2dr Re: Tyres for Jeep Wrangler

Indeed yes, however just keep in mind that the 285/70/17 will slightly rub in case you do flex off-road. With a 2 inch lift this will be sorted. For normal day-to-day driving they should fit though.

Grand Cherokee Re: air suspension parts

Check where the leak comes from. If you spray some soapy water on that strut where the line enters the strut, you might see air coming out. Wiggle the line/pipe to make sure. Both of mine leaked...

Grand Cherokee Re: air suspension parts

Why do you need the whole part if I may ask?
A while ago my air bags leaked. I alsi thought I had to buy the whole part but it turns out it was only the O-ring that had perished a bit, hence the...

    Re: Jeep Gladiator

Ag we know Andre Bossie always has crap to say about Jeep. But it's okay, he is a Jeep boffin and knows them very well, albeit a non-owner.

Re: JK - Time to just give up?

Well, a Sahara comes with 3.73s and a Rubicon with 4.10s in SA, so 33s will be more than fine on either.
  24. Re: All new Kia Carnival - any feedback or opinions?

The Pallisade does look attractive from a looks and spec perspective, especially the AWD. I guess Hyundai and Kia uses the same engine and gearbox across these ranges though. Will do a stop at the...
  25. Re: All new Kia Carnival - any feedback or opinions?

    So some turbo lag then?

Have you ever driven the Sedona on gravel? As mentioned, the ground clearance might not be the best so quite curious how it behaves on normal gravel roads. Not a deal...
  26. Re: All new Kia Carnival - any feedback or opinions?

Thanks for your feedback! You are making the decision process harder haha! I will definitely include the Sorento in my list :D Will see if the dealer here has these two on the floor for a check...
  27. Re: All new Kia Carnival - any feedback or opinions?

Awesome to hear, thanks man. Will see if I can get to test drive a Carnival soon, perhaps also a low mileage Grand Sedona just to compare!:)
  28. Re: All new Kia Carnival - any feedback or opinions?

Hi Karol, the Sorento looks amazing but I feel like one gets a little bit more with the Carnival for a slightly "cheaper" price (massive assumption I'm making here). But I haven't compared the two...
  29. Re: All new Kia Carnival - any feedback or opinions?

Thanks Nico!! Yes even the Sedona turns my head every time I see one on the road. How has the engine and gearbox treated you? Any significant issues I should be aware of?
Also, given the size of the...
  30. Re: All new Kia Carnival - any feedback or opinions?

Yes, I've seen that! Pretty awesome for that extra space. This is probably because the vehicle is front wheel drive, which is not the best I'd say. If the Carnival was AWD like the Kia Sorento for...
  31. Re: All new Kia Carnival - any feedback or opinions?

Thanks for your input Henkus. How did the Sedona treat you ito reliability and overall maintenance? As mentioned, the Rio we have had been spectacular but it is a N/A petrol with minimal electronics...
  32. Re: All new Kia Carnival - any feedback or opinions?

Probably true ito the Staria. I presume the Kia's handling will be a bit better due to a lower COG compared to the more upright Staria as well. Again, I haven't driven any of these so I'm just...
  33. All new Kia Carnival - any feedback or opinions?

    Hi all,

The time might have arrived for SWAMBO to get a new car. She has been driving her 2012 Kia Rio since new with 202 000km on the odo currently. The Rio has served her very well with...

    Re: Decisions Decisions Decisions

What a lame joke geez???. Care to contribute to the OP's query rather?
