Re: The new Hilux has arrived...

And that is the problem lately.
To get a feel for a car, you need it for atleast a day or 2 to get the real "feel" of it to use it daily.
Unfortunately dealers are not that accommodating lately...

    Re: Service plan, stupid question

i've squeezed 6 services out of a 5 year plan already on my previous Audi. Which was an awesome score for me because the 6th service is plugs and all the jazz so was nearly a 10k service.

    Plan...

Discovery 3 Re: Disco Fiasco - what would you do?

I stand by the saying, if you can't afford a new one, then you shouldn't buy one second hand. Still remains a R1M + car and repairs are in the same price range.

Sorry to the OP, but this is...

    Even the PM's received.

Thanks for the suggestions so far.
Will add the swift and Jazz to my search criteria. Though the Honda's were expensive to maintain? A work friend's wife has one, and he said services are crazy...

Your money, go drive all 3 and then decide.

Too many fanboys around which will only give you biased opinions.

  10. Re: Can a tyre with slight flat spots smooth out over time?

The cars that were built PQ24 (polo 9n etc) were especially prone to this.
Also called sawtooth wear on the rear tyres.

Rotating is the only way to overcome this.

    Re: Toyota Indi Bellville

Your hilux is due for its 100k service.
Do not think that because it has 80k on the clock, it needs an 80k service.

    What model A3?
If it has the 7 speed box, then it is the dry type clutch and doesn't require an oil change.

It will either be the mechatronics unit that is going or the clutch itself.
