    If you need to replace, I would look for an AMC head.

    Make sure the job is done properly. But I would try and maintain the cooling system first before worrying about replacing the head.

    No Yachting establishments as such. Only a few of lodges who I know have a Yacht that guests can use.

    It turns out it is a 2.4 non turbo, 2L engine. Manual , 4x4 (tansfer cae, Low /Hgh range).

    Slow but steady, manual injector pump, no electronics...just like I like them. :)

    Same reliability? Not really: there are often threads on the forum asking for help with misbehaving ZF boxes.

    Better engineering? Not really, otherwise they would not give the problems mentioned...
