Re: Jeep Wrangler for towing a caravan?

Hi Anton, yes the airbags do make a big difference. Do yourself a favour and get a set. Regarding your towing concern, get a supercharger and you won't have a day's problem with towing >:D

    You...

  4. Re: 2013 Jeep Wrangler 3.6l service 135 000km

Call Zone Offroad, They have the schedule. But I'm pretty sure intervals changed to 15000km from 2013.

Ford & Mazda Re: Pedal booster?

Increases the throttle's response mainly, thereby removing some lag. I have had the iDrive on my Wrangler since April. For R2000 this has to be the best "mod" for the money. Makes a huge difference...

    Re: Bergsig trout farm

Seems like you were very unfortunate/unlucky with your specific stay. I've never stayed over but had many day trips due to Kloofzicht's proximity - a nicer venue in Gauteng will be hard to find. And...

    Re: Bergsig trout farm

For fly fishing in the Muldersdrift area I would highly recommend Kloofzicht. However, camping is not an option there as far as I recall - only chalets which seem on the expensive side.

Re: From Hilux to Jeep Wrangler

    Hi Koda,

There are A LOT of threads here on the topic of the 3.6 Wrangler.

    I bought my 2012 Rubicon Unlimited (i.e. 5 door) in 2016 with 59 000km on the odo. I'm on 108 000km now with...
  15. Re: Newbie Advice pls - K02 tyres and lift for JK.

    Hi Ryder.

Only seeing this thread now. You won't go wrong with the 285 BGFs. Stock rims will be fine for that size.

Consider a proper coil and shock lift (2.5" is perfect for those tyres)....

  17. Re: Jeep Centurion dealership closed as from 1 July

Same here. Wrangler was serviced yesterday and all good. Ended up being less than initially quoted - R2568 for the 108 000 km service.

And I ended up test driving the 6.4 Hemi-converted...
  18. Re: Jeep Centurion dealership closed as from 1 July

Yeah probably. At least we now know that there isn't a discrepancy between Jeep's services and those of Zone. :)
  19. Re: Jeep Centurion dealership closed as from 1 July

So the miles-to-kilo conversions aren't entirely correct in this schedule. For instance, the first service (according to imperial) should be at 8000 miles (or 13 000 km converted). In SA, this should...
  20. Re: Jeep Centurion dealership closed as from 1 July

All of those were done with the previous service, i.e. at 96 000 km.
Where did you get this schedule? Jeep Midrand has sent me a quote for the EXACT same items as per Zone's quote. So either your...
  21. Re: Jeep Centurion dealership closed as from 1 July

I also use Zone. I'll be taking my Rubicon for its 108 000 km service tomorrow. This will cost R3400 approx for a normal oil and filter service (for those that always wonder what Jeep services costs)...

    Re: Annoying intermittent whine

Yep, mine was one of them. Whining sound especially when warm. Ended up being the power steering hose that started to leak around 95 000km. I replaced the hose and filled with ATF+4 again - no issues...

  34. Re: Jeep Advise - 2010 3.8 AT 2 door Jeep Sahara

With the Sahara you'll have 3.73 ratios, which should be fine for the 285/70s. If you decide to go any larger than that, re-gearing would be recommended (4.10 ratios at least) and other rims too....
  35. Re: Jeep Advise - 2010 3.8 AT 2 door Jeep Sahara

I really can't comment on the ride quality of the 2-door. In terms of power output, the 3.8 produces 146kW and 315Nm if I recall correctly, which is really not that bad, but the problem lies with the...
