    Re: Omnia oven

I can't say that I ever felt that the wind was a problem. As the "chimney" is directly above the flame and it is a fairly small diameter the heat seems to be more concentrated. Most of our baking...

    Re: Omnia oven

I have a similar design that I bought at a Getaway show about 20 years ago. We have mainly used it for bread, sadza, stew and a large muffin ( we don't have a muffin pan). Very easy to clean and...

Agree that the Cobb is best for roasting. I have a small portable braai that I take. Just big enough for 2 people.

Re: Alldays to Mapungubwe road tarr.

I travelled that road end of November last year. It is tar but very potholed. You should be OK as long as you keep the speed down. Parts are better on the gravel verge.

Which road - Bloemfontein to Zastron?

Mid February I will be going to Zastron via Bloemfontein.

Which is the better route - N6, R26 or R702, R26? Although the N6 is slightly longer is the road condition better?

    Thanks

You posted while I typed. In that case I would see both sides on the way back if time allows. The Kazungula bridge should be open then so I imagine your crossing into Zambia should be quicker.
