    MY RRC, i suppose similiar to D1, had a bonnet alarm switch that activated the siren/alarm, irrespective what i did with the remote, CL etc.

    Maybe a long shot, but look for a door light type...

    My Engel 40l was bought by me to me on my 40th birthday, now 13 years ago.

    Runs 24/7 as a beer fridge unless on camp duty then it gets milk/meat and sh#t added :)
