    Re: Convince me not to

When empty and not towing minimum 0.5 bar to protect from any pinching.
Depending on load 2.5 bar as a max I would suggest, although you donít need to go that high. I once had to go to 3.5 but that...

Re: Victron only - Hilux Aux Batt setup change

Yip :). Yesterday I realised the flaws in my "test" when the "SOC" stayed at 100%. This is when I realised a complete different algorithm is required to measure the true SOC of the LiFeP04, as you...

    Re: 2.8 GD6 Auto Consumption

Plug-and-pray normally is an inline chip, meaning it'll fit in the harness feeding to the rail. Or perhaps if a soldered-in chip it may be hidden behind the glove box.

    A remap is trickier....

Chris, did you buy new? If second hand, did you check if your bakkie perhaps has a plug-and-pray chip installed which impacts your fuel consumption?

    Re: Trailer Solar Options

Agree on this statement. Bought a lot of solar kit from Bushpower over the years. I would also bypass the power panel completely and connect the MPPT solar regulator directly to the battery.

    Re: Panels, too many choices

I have a 150W panel installed on my Hilux canopy, it was the biggest panel I could fit and would rate this as the absolute minimum. Ideally I'd like to rather be between 200 and 240W, but for this I...

Not sure if the Aussies have developed a similar unit for the 2.8 as they did for the V8 Cruiser?
