    VW won't have their name attached to a vehicle that does not comply with their standards.

    That is why eg Seat products are deemed to actually be better in many respects than the equivalent VW...

    Ford and VAG has a long history of cooperation.

    The Sharan / Galaxy is aen example that started in 1995 with VW supplying most of the technology.
    That has changed, with the current generation...

    Fixing rebar or fence wires to droppers is a totally different application to clamping a pipe water / air tight.

    The tools used to fix rebar leaves a very rough and untidy wire.

    Use proper coolant.
    To dilute it to the correct ratio, just about any potable water will do.
