    Re: Pinion angle

I also thought it was the front actually.

    My bad.

But yes, angling the (front)diff up makes you lose caster and you get more picknpay trolley wheelie as you lose more caster;D

    Re: Pinion angle

    Shaft?

Just remember the more yo rotate the diff up, the more caster you lose as well. So you gotta find a balance between the 2.

Re: Jeep XJ 4.0 Rear main seal

I've heard that once they start leaking the leak tends to come back even after putting the new seal in. But I have no experience with it myself.

Mine leaks but it's not really noticeable...

Re: Help a Newbie do an Oil Change

    Yeah.

I haven't done a JK myself, but some general tips:

-Run the motor to get the oil warm. Doesn't need to be super hot, but being warm it'll flow out easier and faster, and you'll get more...

You JK softies don't know how easy you have it hahaha:-* Try a TJ soft top . If you don't bleed while raising or lowering it, you havent done it right.

Having said that, I MUCH prefer the...

Wrangler 2dr Re: TJ Build/ Advice Thread

    I run 33s, 6Speed and 4.56s. I feel they're a bit deep on the highway....I feel like I need another gear sometimes.

I really want to try 35s and see how they feel.
  7. Re: Netstar install and interior dimming switch.

Ok then I'm not going completely crazy.....Auto dimming interior lights, but no temp gauge. Seems a bit strange haha.

I am coming from a TJ Wrangler, so basically the Citigolf of 4x4's, so I'll...
  8. Re: Netstar install and interior dimming switch.

Ok well while I still look like an idiot......Exterior Temp Display on the XL.....is it shown anywhere? I can choose between Celsius and Fahrenheit in the display menu.....but the temp is nowhere to...
  9. Re: Netstar install and interior dimming switch.

Well ####.....Ive only had the thing a week, but it never did that until the Netstar install......####. So it's probably fine?

  10. Re: Netstar install and interior dimming switch.

Would be wonderful if their customer care line worked.

Would be even better if their EMERGENCY line worked!!

In short, don't use Netstar. Bloody useless.
  11. Netstar install and interior dimming switch.

I got my new Supercab XL last week. Pretty happy with it so far!

Yesterday Netstar came and installed the tracking device (required by our insurance). Now they've obviously taken power of the...

    Re: Bt-50 3.2 supercab 4x4 2017. Thoughts?

Yeah...at times I may need to stick a 1000L on it in an emergency, or a couple 210L drums so I just think we are gonna stuff up a Corsa/Chevy/Np200.

Were there any changes to the BT-50 between 15...

Yeah it's the "first" service according to when it was registered, in jan 2017....But it should really be it's 3rd yearly service now!

I guess I'll keep looking. Anyone sees a 2.2 Supercab XL...

    Re: Bt-50 3.2 supercab 4x4 2017. Thoughts?

Me too. It's not the face lift though...Maybe thats why?

It's coming from an actual Nissan Dealer, so not just a side of the road, used car place. So I assume they have to disclose any dodgy stuff...

    Re: Bt-50 3.2 supercab 4x4 2017. Thoughts?

Oh yeah, it's manual. Feels a little snatchy on the clutch compared to the fords I've driven. I guess there are some differences between them even though it's the same motor and gearbox right?

    Re: 40" jeep

I was thinking about this again earlier.

It's torque. a 40inch tyre is basically creating a 20inch lever on a fulcrum (axle centre). So it's taking more and more torque to turn the thing putting...

  26. Wrangler 2dr Re: Help Identifying front suspension part on Jeep TJ

Wait you should have a dropped pitman arm too right?

The trackbar needs to be parallel with the steering draglink. Usually when people do a drop trackbar bracket like you have, they then also...
  27. Wrangler 2dr Re: Help Identifying front suspension part on Jeep TJ

    Nope.

I was an idiot and torqued the ever living Fudge out of the ball joint at first because of a dodgy torque value I found on the internet. It is NOT 110ft-lbs;D Loosened it and torqued it...

Re: Jeep 4.0 High mileage oil weight

  30. Wrangler 2dr Re: Help Identifying front suspension part on Jeep TJ

Where are you getting the ADJ Trackbar from? Just be very sure it's for right hand drive otherwise 90% chance it won't clear the diff and be useless to you.

The knocking and ticking....When hot or cold?

    Re: Noisy 6speed (NSG370)

    I realised,...

Re: Why don't we get all the Wrangler versions?

    Maybe I...
