    We did not have this problem during our various stays there, but what you can do is pack your belongings and go outside the Mabua gate and camp along the cutline road to Kokotsha or even better, move...

    We had a very positive experience with NDM in preparation of our April / May trip to NAM and BW. Polentswa, Rooiputs, Swartpan and Polenstwa Trail reservations done perfectly...

    I would use them...

    Yes, Pat is correct. What you can do is to drive to Kaa gate and check if the site is available, if it is not available you could leave the park for a night and sleep at one of the sites in the KD1...

    If possible with your bookings, you could spilt the travel and spend one night at Kaa Gate campsite, most probably with water.... and a cold shower...

    and then move on to Polentswa next day

    Thiere is also no water at Gnus Gnus, just a concrete slab for the fire, that's all.

    You can drive to Kaa Gate and ask if you could load water in your tanks at the gate or at campsite Kaa gate nbr...

    We walked there in May, not really 600 metres even.... no border procedures necessary, just ask the border police at SA and NAM side, we just could go walk there.....

    we were a bit disappointed...

    Indeed Diggy, there is just a concrete slab for a fire....... same at Gnus Gnus and Swart Pan.... it is a real wilderness trail area, however it is nice there!

    I have rented 2 times from Ivory, they were OK, no long range tanks though, so ask for jerrycans if you are going to CKGR.

    I also rented twice with Bushlore, both Hilux and LC, very good also.
