    The difference between the two engines is actually quite extensive, not just a few added on bits and plastic covers.

    I'd actually be interested in seeing a 150 series with the single vvt-I engine in, I'm sure they all have duel vvt-i motors.

    Common issue on the diesel Kia Sportage, the vibration dampener comes apart, if it is the problem you can expect to loose drive via the belt at some stage.

    By not paying annual licence fees, it gets archived, but still attracts licence fees and penalties, I've had two such cars, one basket case 88" series 3 that I walked away from with 15years arrears...

    Sheez guys it's only a cooler box, it keeps stuff cold for days and I can sit on it and bash it around more than the one I got from Checkers why worry if it's a bit skew no not beautifully finished...

    I'm in the camp (;D) of if I make a grunting sound when I heft the pack on my back, I need proper boots with some ankle support, day packs = tekkies are ok.

    Perhaps try swap or borrow a fold out roof top tent with a smaller closed footprint? The added thickness won't impact fuel consumption when you already have those jerries acting as airbrakes.

    1.5 is a safe start, make sure you have a proper compressor to reinflate if you go lower to tackle a difficult deep section before climbing back onto a normal dirt road.

    Vacuum advance will give it a flat spot, check the mechanical advance in distributor if it's free. Has little weights that centrifugal force spins out and the middle shaft (holding rotor) should...

    Check the basics, tappet settings (valve clearance) double then triple check firing order make sure coil is for electronic ignition and perhaps go back it points and condenser with Std coil?

    I had a prado 90 then a 120 (V6) and currently a 150 (V6) , I'm looking for a nice 2008/9 low mileage (sub 150kkm) 120 V6 again, that'll be the last car I buy in my life, they are absolute stunning...
