    Re: Metalian Genie video ad.

Nice! I think it will do well in the young and even not so young market. Ideal partner for a new Jimny!

Got the photos of the Xplorer on 130 build from Bruce, sorted as chronological as I can determine, and joined them in a .pdf file attached here (OK'ed it with Bruce).

Perhaps post a link to where you keep the photos? Would appreciate that, as I find this conversion very interesting.

Fearl3SS, could you perhaps copy or refer the relevant pages from the owners manual?

    Re: Defender 130 Overlander build

Looks nice until you realise the Xplorer lost its complete slide out kitchenc/freezer section ...
  11. Re: A-Frame towing New Suzuki Jimmy all grip 2020

Not to be done without removing rear propshaft or modifying rear axle with freewheel hubs. Both transfer case and main gearbox back driven in neutral can be damaged due to lack of lubrication.

Daar is kampeerplek ontrent by Lobatse grenspos (Susan 0726660301 SA nommer). Alternatief is Motse Lodge in Kanye, hulle het basiese kampterrein agter gehad.

Re: Moet n dooie FJ45 weer herleef?

Nog beter, kry 4.5 petrol Cruiser chassis (met voorste coils) en bou 45 se bak daarop. Dan het jy n MENEER! Hilux klink net nie reg nie, IFS oo 45? Heiligskending!

Best to get 2 x 2 sleeper RTT's. Its not wise fitting a large one (4 sleeper is much longer than Hilux DC load bay) spanning load bay and cab.

Slegte voertuigkeuse. Met die dubbelagterwiele maak julle dit vir julself moeilik (sand, bandbeskadiging op 2spoor, ens.). En julle maak dit onnodig moeilik vir voertuie na julle op sandpaaie. Is...

    LT85 ratios is 3.65, 2.18, 1.44, 1.0, 0.795, R3.82. It is a strong working gearbox but do not overpower 5th.

D-Tox, see you have a "Defender 90 for sale" signature, but the link is dead. Perhaps time to remove that signature.

Defender Re: Id gearbox fitted to 3500v8 rover motor

The first 5speed Rangies had the earlier LT77 as they were deemed to not work as hard as V8 Defenders. LT77S (strengthened) were developed when Spanish LT85 supply dried up.

Defender Re: Id gearbox fitted to 3500v8 rover motor

It is a LT77S if it is the original fitted to a V8 Defender (long stick, 52A prefix). Which means it come out of a 91 - 94 V8 Defender, before 91 (when still just a 110) the V8 Defender had the LT85,...

Defender Re: Defender td5 brakes fading

Pedal not returning sounds like a broken return spring inside the main brake cylinder, had the same on a BMW 318 long time ago.
