As long as you are happy with it, then it's cool.
I didn't want to bad mouth it, it's a Defener after all.

Just pointing out my opinion regarding practicality.

On a side note, the 130 turning...

    Defender Re: Defender 110 DC

The 110 DC is not ideal for what people will use it for.

If you have been next to one and you still want it, fine I understand that, but I find it very impractical.

The 130 is, according to me,...

I doubt it, the waste gate rarely works on the 300Tdi.
    He said power is good.

I'd say if it was like that then it's just like mine, whistle for the day I got her.

Not necessarily my 300Tdi has always whistled.

The exhaust system, if free flow or no silencers, will make it more prominent.

  12. Re: 300tdi oil thermostat housing O ring replacement

The only oil that might be an issue is the oil in the oil cooler.

It should not be a lot of oil, but if possible have some blanking plugs nearby to stem the flow.
    My guess is about 250-300mL.

Ek hanteer alle skerpioene wat pieperige knypers en duk stert het as giftig.
So hou jou broer se simtome dop.

Maar die huidige simptome klink soos die minder giftige een.

If you can remove the tank yourself, then the fix will be much cheaper and easier.
Any reputable welding shop, preferably TIG, will then be able to help you.

On my V8 SWAMBO usually put her feet on the dashboard on long trips.

The 300Tdi is much cooler, so I think insulating the exhaust will help a lot.
