    Re: Metalian Maxi super thread

I have another question for Heinz. Have you designed a retro fit solution for the kitchen door on the Maxi to dampen the downward movement like they have on bakkie tailgates? I would love a solution...

Re: Best vehicle to tow an Invader Quattro

Isn’t it cheaper to change the Air Suspension on the D4 to coils (like in the XS) than buying a 2019 Prado?

Seems like a very expensive exercise for “just in case”, IMHO

    Re: Metalian Genie Launch special

Camping with Ammo boxes is so last decade, the primary reason I went for the Metalian over another all conquering brand is that you can travel without any ammo boxes, they are the worst.

    Suspension Re: Uneven height

A better way of measuring is to take the measurement from the bottom of the rim edge to the wheel arch, this negates any tyre inflation variances.

Re: Die Hel (Gautenger seeking some info)

I towed a Metalian Maxi with my Pajero LWB and had absolutely no issues. It was dry but all I did was put it into Low Range and locked it in 1 and 2 using the Super Select and just took it slow.

    Re: 265/70/17 A/T Tyre advice

For a true strong sidewall tyre you need to look at LT spec tyres only.

That leaves only a few options but they are pricier than the normal A/T tyres:

    Cooper ST Maxx
    BFG KO2
    Michelin LTX2...
