    From the tar road to Kao is pretty decent, Koa mine maintains it as all traffic to the mine use this road. Road is wide enough for passing. You will encounter trucks, minibusses, people and animals....

    My engine is on about 360 000km, still going strong and smooth.

    Maintenance wise is the usual things with old vehicle, seals, bearings etc. But added up over 14 years of ownership about R3000...

    I own my V8 SW now 14 years. First 6 years as only vehicle while living in Messina, toured all over Limpopo, kids to school in Tzaneen. Only problems then was fuel pump and power steering pump.

    I concur, but early morning and at night the warden N3 is unpleasant with non stop row of trucks in both directions.

    That's how mine are routed, remember checking this years ago. Changed with new bougie cords, one of the old ones was totally corroded off. Kept to same routing, no missfiring[emoji1]

    The bough cords causing misfire? I know that there is a specific way you need to cross and route the cords to not have misfires.

    The only advice I can give is that the Puma garage at Butha Buthe does not accept Standard Bank cards, I use a Nedbank card, so not sure about the others

    Did you drive out this route? It goes past Kao mine where I am currently. Last report a month ago was that from Lejone to Kao is quite bad, needing a 4x4 and clearance, rains have washed away good...

    It's overcast and cooler today, but can't see it snowing yet, also weather report for rest of weekend is sunny. This is at Kao. We have a had good rains overnight so quite wet at the moment.

    Busy giving my 110 V8 some overdue TLC.

    1. Gearbox and TFC bearings and seals replacement by The Gearbox company.
    2. Poly-TFE from George Bosch - all perceived to be much quieter and smoother....
