    Perhaps there should be a rubber shock absorber disc between bike body and where exhaust bolts to, to take up vibrations ie prevent exhaust cracking.

    Guess you can get them made. For our electrical link sticks we cut a thick wooden disc and knock that into the end tube, then insert screws through the pvc into the disc edges to keep it in place.

    I did a read up. Old timers would apply a bit of chalk dust to the shoes to help them seat in properly, obviously one would not do a speed brake test in traffic.

    Pvc end caps are very strong when fresh but become brittle from sun exposure. As suggested, go for aliminum or stainless steel end caps imho.
