Defender Re: Instrument panel CO233 pin sorting

I dont understand much from what you say about wires but pins 14, 15, 19 are not connected to anything in the original setup also there is a mix-up cos in the diagram C0236 is actually C0233 shown in...

Discovery 2: Re: Disco 2 OBDII port fault

You should hook a voltmeter across the feed of the socket and watch it when the comms are failing to not be a voltage drop on the live side

Discovery 2: Re: Disco 2 OBDII port fault

As long as you have voltage in the socket and the pink K line has continuity to the ECUs then IMO it's still a software issue, can't you try the tester on other vehicle ?

IMO you should upload the proper software for JLR if the tool is new cos that's not OK, see this http://obd365.over-blog.com/foxwell-nt520-reviews-on-land-rover-discovery-2.html NT530 should be very...

Discovery 2: Re: Disco 2 OBDII port fault

Quit that auto scan thing cos it used to make tricks. Select dedicated menus with Foxwell, e.g. ABS , SRS, transmission (if it's auto), BCU, ACE(if it's fitted) and see if you get comms with those...

Re: TD5 starting problem - Stumped

The starting problems are usually caused by the ''air bleed valve" (WJN500110) which is in the rear wheel side port not by the NRV in the front chassis side

  10. Re: Discovery 2 Instrument Cluster dead (again)

Commonly affected by water ingress are the interior fuseboxes(IDMs). The IDM is a very complex electronic unit(not simple fusebox) which works in conjunction with the BCU and internal corrosion can...

Re: What causes a MAF sensor to fail?

The resistor at those currents should not fry just dissipate the voltage and the circuit you built to keep the output around 13V as long as we speak about intermittent spikes not constant overvoltage

Re: What causes a MAF sensor to fail?

Re: What causes a MAF sensor to fail?

The Td5's MAF doesnt work like that, it's simpler:

    from the Td5 WSM:

The MAF sensor works on the hot film principal. The MAF sensor has 2 sensing elements contained within a film. One

Re: What causes a MAF sensor to fail?
