    Re: Is this it?

Saw one yesterday and was a little underwhelmed, it looks better in the pictures than in the flesh to me. Wasnít able to have a look inside as it was on a raised stand.

Re: Do you need to book for CKGR?

I wouldnít book, after 3 months on the road youíll not be in the mood to be tied down by a booking. Youíll find a spot, guaranteed, itís not the busiest reserve.

Re: Gonarezhou in either April or August 2021

Personally I would only consider August and not April, the rivers are likely to be too full to be able to cross and you will be limited in the areas you can see comfortably.

Re: Kitting out my Defender 110 for overlanding

The only thing on your list that I would spend on straight away is a fridge. Rather do a trip or two and work out if you really need the others or if theyíre just nice-to-haves. Personally Iíve never...

    Re: Landcruiser 76 SW service (200 000km)

Iíve just had my 120k service, which is similar. My dealer knocked 10% off the price without me even asking, might be worth a shot.

  18. Re: An update on Save'Conservancy - Humani and Mokore Ranches

We are going OT here, but I had planned on doing a few days in Gorongosa in September as part of an eastern Highlands birdwatching trip. It really annoys me that I canít self drive there, hereís...

Mine is simple - a circumnavigation of Zimbabwe. No fixed itinerary, but will include Gona, eastern highlands, Mavuradhonas, Mana, Chizarira, Hwange and Matopos if I can fit that all in.

Not true, it is a conservancy where both wildlife and humans are meant to coexist. If the farmer was not within his rights to shoot those animals why are they paying him out for the 33 goats he lost...

Re: hunting vs camping in Botswana

Because KD2 is so rarely visited the animals are naturally wary. Please don't be under any illusion that it is like the riverbeds in KTP.

It is not an area when you go for game drives, you rather...

Re: Mabua (Mpaya campsites) - Number of vehicles

Sometimes it's not about the money, but rather losing the wilderness atmosphere.

If everyone overbooked the place would be a circus. Limits are in place for a reason.

No hunting in KD2, you will need to get a permit from Zutshwa. That community are the concession holders for KD2.
