Re: Longer/Upgraded Coils on Standard Shocks

Excuse my ignorance, but doesn't the Everest have solid axles? I don't understand how spacers, springs, etc. can influence ground clearance or are we talking about body lift?

    Sticky: Re: Bird Identification

My guess is the first pic is of a female Golden Weaver. The heavy bill makes it one of only three potentials but the leg colour is diagnostic in my opinion.

    Re: Springbok pan guest lodge

It's infuriating when establishments waste your time like this. I would hold them to it. They're bl**dy fools if they don't agree with you. Look at the damage they've already caused...

    Sticky: Re: Bird Identification

I'd go with RobH's call. It looks like there's a bit of yellowing at the base of the bill and I'd think the yellow eye would be more visible if it was a juv. BC Snake eagle. Also that fanned tail is...

My theory is, if it's brightly coloured and near water it's a Levaillants!

Dwarsberg IS amazing! Not cheap but worth every cent just for the privacy at every site. If you go there, do take your walking/running shoes or mountain bike. There's a lovely quiet mountain road...

Oppies, thanks for your concern...... The info I was trying to get was actually for a family member, not myself. If it was for me the camping advice might have worked but unfortunately the family...

    Re: GV Transfer case protection.

I could have sworn I tried them about a year ago and it wasn't available then. Maybe things have changed( or I'm thinking of another supplier). Thanks Dave, I'll make enquiries.

    GV Transfer case protection.

Hi Guys, does anyone make a bash plate to protect the transfer case on the Grand Vitara? I've got all the other plates but the case looks very vulnerable! Thanks

Re: Couples therapy/counselling in Cape Town

This is often a very valid comment. Many spouses simply agree to counselling because they're hoping the counsellor will lessen the blow to the one that doesn't want the split-up. However, let's not...

Re: Journey up the West Coast with an XTrail

Absolutely. My clearance was about 220mm and I was trimming the middelmannetjie. The other problem is that this sand "sucks" your vehicle down. You have to have the torque of low range to grind...

I had an X-Trail before my current vehicle. I recently drove through Namaqua NP (Groen Rivier to Hondeklip - two hectic patches of sand. ) with my current low range 4x4. Take it from me,...
