    DC-DC is never a clear MUST, but good practice in any installation.
    Many times the DC-DC has convenient Solar charge included....

    But if you have more than 100Ah aux installed you really have to...

    OK for us pleps here it is on Aux Batteries:
    (a bit over simplified I know but correct)

    Starter or Cranking Batteries
    - Ideal for short bursts of very high current
    - accepts charge a little...

    It makes no difference if it is FLA, VRFLA, AGM, it's still Lead Acid tech - they all still have to be kept on trickle charge all the time when in storage.

    Agree with Fluffy. But a lot of those BMS's will not like it if the charger voltage drop below 14.2.

    Link that little HCDP charger to approx 40W panel for your battery or max 90W

    Very little difference, except if you ran them completely flat. Smallish chargers will struggle to get it going. Car alternators will have no issue.

    It's a dual purpose, not a true deep cycle.

    BUT it is a pretty good Lead Acid battery....for general camping requirements it's OK - will also work as a cranking battery.

    and - I would not buy...

    Comments on the 108Ah:

    Remember this 108Ah Lithium almost equals 2 x 105Ah Lead acids....

    - The product is not really for cranking/starting applications, but
    - can handle up to 160A discharge...

    Reading up on Lead Carbon batteries indicates they should be charged around 14.7 Volts

    That leaves many existing installed Camping systems non-compatible.....

    Me super super happy with it.
    Especially the efficiency - maybe due to the 70mm insulation
