    Reporting back as promised.

    Used contact cleaner to clean the MAP, MAF, AAP and all the earthing points I could find.
    Checked the hoses for anything obvious or delamination, found nothing....

    The air filter was probably the first thing I checked and cleaned, quite new as well as I serviced the car about 2500km ago.

    Will check all the other things later and hopefully get it...

    It does feel like the fuel is being cut, (on & off) like you said.
    It surges untill I let my foot off the pedal then it's back to normal until I try and accelerate hard again.

    Hi Bill thanks for the reply, do I have to take the unit off to strip it? I only see one bolt on the front of the pulley, took it of and tried getting the pulley of but to no avail.

    I did the washers on my other td5 a while back, used tdi washers and also heated them up before fitting. It's been more than a year and no problems at all.
