Re: Lethlakane - Kubu island - Gweta

Yes you can, it's not a very difficult route BUT you must go well into dry season for obvious reasons.

It's not sandy, more like a fine dust/powder.

Ford & Mazda Re: Long Range Tank - 2020 Everest

Hi Phil your post is in correct section. There aren't that many Everest owners on here. I see Brown Davis have an SA agent. Looks to be the best option. Put it in and report back, I'm following with...

Re: Replacing car battery with gate motor batteries

I second the idea of going Lithium - expensive upfront but worth it long term. Lithium you can actually use all the Ah unlike lead based batteries.
  6. Poll: Re: Learned GV 2.4 owners on the Highveld. What do you gooi into yours? 95 or 93?

During my nearly 7 years with GV 2.4 i often used 95 but the difference was imperceptible compared to 93.

    Navara in the US

So in the USA they are still selling the previous shape Navara as the frontier. They will get the "new" Navara soon, with some changes including a petrol engine. Weird how the US are getting old...

Re: What happened to the Renault Alaskan??

I doubt we'll see it here. After the failure of the X class, and Nissan/Renault alliance financial issues it doesn't really make sense to sell in SA, especially as the Navara itself sells very...

Those are KYB shocks, I'd be very surprised if you could not have them ordered from a Midas or similar.

How did the update maps if at all? I see the update comes with maps but I wouldn't want to lose my current maps and t4a. But maybe for navigation in the left small screen 8-)

Re: Rattles on a 2018 GV

The tailgate: do you still have the spare wheel cover on? It can squeek against the tyre.

To adjust the door rubber stop, you loosen the bolt in the round rubber on the door. Slightly adjust...

Re: Pajero Sport SRS warning light on

This. You mentioned you loosened the seat. Sometimes the connections get corroded over time. Unplug, clean and fit again.

    Re: Spur Hot Rock

Wow spur hot rock! From like 20 years ago! If I remember correctly it was actually a thick piece of cast iron that was moer hot. The salt slabs should work. Heat it in the oven.

Yes that's the nice thing about the ARB couplings, they are not as obscure to find parts for when compared to the Chinese compressors.

    Re: Everest - 3.2 or 2.2BiT

The 2.0 will change gears more often as the peak torque band is narrower than 3.2. That's why it has 10 gears after all. From reviews ive read the fuel consumption is not that much lower than 3.2,...

  31. Re: 2018 Grand Vitara. Buying one and I have some questions.

The GV in standard form isn't really suitable for trails or thick sand with deep tracks. You must get the 40mm lift from Stofpad or Wizerd. It is not expensive but very worth while. With the lift it...
  32. Re: 2018 Grand Vitara. Buying one and I have some questions.
