Re: Nissan NP300 Advice needed please

I had the exact problem on a NP300 2.5 before. There is a solenoid valve on the high pressure diesel pump that fails and causes this issue. It is slightly difficult to reach the valve but other than...

    Re: GD6 iMT function

I like to use engine braking in town driving so I leave it off then. On the open road it is brilliant for downshifts. A downshift is much smoother and the power is on instantly.

    Re: Northern Diesel Silverton

I couldn't agree more. You should see their work area where they test and rebuild injectors. Looks like a medical laboratory, only cleaner and neater. Very, very impressive!!!

Toyota does not use a standard OBD protocol so the run-of-the-mill scanners you can buy off ebay etc will not communicate with the Toyota ECU. Tou need to get the Toyota specific software and cable....

    Re: D4D Hilux Turbo

Whilst it is entirely possible to recondition a turbo well and there are guys out there who can do it, it remains quite an art/science so I think you did the right thing going for a new turbo.

Re: Toyota Hilux 4x4 GD6 worst Hilux ever?
