Re: Interesting new engine ignition design

    Wankel is also non-valve.

I think it's an amazing engine, if they can just spend some more money on improving it more.

Re: Interesting new engine ignition design

I agree and unfortunately there is potential for carbon buildup that can make the rotary valve less effective.

Re: Interesting new engine ignition design

As someone with a little experience, I think it will be overly complicated and expensive to maintain.

I think that the electrical vehicle will be it's downfall before it will be a proven concept....

If I remember correctly they bought theirs from this company:

Although I don't see the model there.

Defender Re: What have you done with your Defender today?

Ja, not going to go into the stuff they have do to me.

I insist on a torque wrench being used when I am at a tire shop.

And just to make a point, I bring my own if they can't.

Who fastened them the previous time. Steel wheels are torqued 100Nm and Wolf 130Nm.

With my powerbar it feels not tight enough but that's what the book recommends.

    Defender Re: 300Tdi injectors thread

Quite a few forums has discussed this.
    Most say 200Tdi is 12x1.5
    And
    300Tdi is 14x1.5

    But that doesn't make sense.
So I measured the little bit of thread that I could and that corresponds...

    Is the box acting up?
There are brass shims that are used during the assembly of the box. These shims get destroyed during the life of the engine.

I once found quite a lot of it during a seal...
