  2. Re: Any tricks to lube the clutch plate splines without taking out the gearbox?

Anybody know where I can find a Sealey Yankee transmission jack, other than importing a brand new one at high cost and long lead time? It is such a nice, basic, and efficient piece of equipment. A...
  3. Re: Fuel consumption, speedo reading low vs high profile tyers?

Low profile tyres = good consumption, the next town is far away. High profile tyres = 'bad' consumption, that same town is now 'closer'.

Advice needed - Isuzu firewall sound pad

This is the black insulation sheet behind the engine that sits on the firewall. My bakkie's one is really looking tatty, raffles en toiings en alles. Without replacing it, because that entails...

Two things:1. Get the VIN and investigate if there are notes against it.2. Personally, I will walk away, even though I am probably the biggest Isuzu supporter out there. The missing centre caps on...

    Re: Are Bakkies going backwards?

Likewise, if you add up the percentages with which chassis rigidity has increased model on model, you'd think that they are made from one metre thick marble slabs by now . .

Is it just me or has roadworthy testing become hideously expensive? I recall fees of R350-400 about 18 months ago with the same people now asking R660-730. And the municipal one is currently closed...

Re: Muzella there is a new Q8

Correction: not spec level, rather engine output level. A 25 makes up to 80kW, a 30 makes between 81 and 91kW, a 35 makes between 110 and 120kW etc etc, regardless of what fuel. It will however say...

    Re: 2016 Isuzu KB250 D-Tec 4x2

No. After 405,000 km, the rear wheel bearing (R600) at 270,000 and the radiator at 399,000 (R1,500) would never have been covered by any extended warranty of any kind.

Ek reken dit sal. Die paar ouens wat ek al gesien het wat 'n L28 met 'n turbo seŽn doen presies dit en dit werk tog te mooi.
  17. Re: Tyres, Mags and Rims: Trade, Buying, Selling, Swap, Give-away or whatever ....

Theoretically, ever so slightly more grip. Ever so slightly heavier on fuel, on the speedo calculations. The next town will be ever so slightly a bit closer. On the speedo.

    Re: Throttle Controller

Yes they did increase the output from 85 to 100 kW, and from 280 to 320 Nm, but I don't know if it was simply mapping with existing turbo, or a different turbo. No idea.
