Re: Keep the AT's or go road tires

depends on brand and size, but roughly the same price

As I said, at R2k per tyre, it's a lot of fuel.
  2. Re: Need some advice regarding clutch and RMI shop

Just don't let them continue with any further repairs before you have discussed all the issues with the service manager.

Re: Keep the AT's or go road tires

Indeed. The average HT is still around R2k per tyre. R8k is a crapload of fuel.
  5. Re: Need some advice regarding clutch and RMI shop

The Consumer Protection Act should cover that.

I'd also contact the RMI and ask what your options are.

    1) They quoted you on a repair for the problem
    2) You accepted and paid
    3) Hence they...

    Re: Advice on generator

I've had both Ryobi and Adendorffs gennies.

    My experience:

    - The Ryobi never delivers the quoted KVA
    - The Ryobis aren't known for reliability and spares are not easy to find
    - The Mac Afric...

Re: Fridge for short game drive

A decent esky is an investment. Some of the new items keeps ice solid for up to 3 days.

I need to buy again soon, and I'll invest in something with decent handles and better construction.

I had a 110 CSW with a decently installed 4 inch lift...........it was sublime on the farm road.

The Old Defender is overrated and overpriced these days.

Re: Keep the AT's or go road tires

Correct tyre pressure is imperative for good consumption.

However, overinflated tyres means a smaller contact patch and uneven tyre wear.

So make sure you find the sweet spot for the...

Re: Should I reconsider my loyalty to Cooper??

Cooper buyers are like BFG buyers.

Even if there is a better, cheaper tyre on the market, they will ignore them and keep on buying their overpriced products.

Re: Keep the AT's or go road tires

    1) I honestly doubt that you will see any fuel consumption benefits
    2) Highway Tyres (HT) usually have less tread than AT and are softer: so you will use the 10mm of tread faster on the HT than the...

    4 things to check

    1) clutch engagement adjustment rod on brake master cylinder
    2) slave has failed again (Britpart?)
    3) as mentioned, the fooking fork
    4) yes, the pressure plate has died
