    Pic of a 2 week old tyre attached...

    Grip is good, very noisy on tar, good value for money.
    Not quite a maxxis or a bfg though...534622

    Re: 35" wheels on defender

    I've built two Defenders on 35's.

    110 Puma CSW & 100" 3.9 V8 Pickup.

    From what I can remember at the moment, the minimum to be done:
    * 30mm wheel spacers
    * 2" lift
    * Stronger steering rods....
  4. Re: what have you done with / to your Range Rover (Big Body) today

    Inverter & Earth Leakage

    On below schematic, does DB2 need a separate Earth Leakage? I would think so, by many installations I have seen does not have it?

    Interested to get feedback Re the Fox shocks.
    I had them on my Puma. Definitely top ride quality. But after the 3rd one broke a pin, I got rid of them.

  13. Re: what have you done with / to your Range Rover (Big Body) today

    Thanks!

    Its a brilliant car, dont think you can ever replace a RR with anything that compares or even comes close.
    Reality is, I will probably never use it offroad :/

    MediaRelease Re: 70 Years of Land Rover

    Why so negative about the direction they going?
    Its good that they remember and celebrate where theyve come from.
    With the exception of the freelander 1 they have never disappointed with any car.

    Re: Lift = death wobble ?

    Snap rear side shaft. Remove broken shaft. Center Diff lock on, continue in front wheel drive. Strip front CW&P.

    Strip front CV. Remove drive member. Continue with diff lock on, on tar in 4x3....

    Re: Lift = death wobble ?

    On tar I would say okay, but any offroad situation and just one prop you will damage the axle diff.
    Destroyed 2 diffs like that already...

    Re: Lift = death wobble ?

    I would start by replacing panhard rod bushes with new OEM ones.
    Then standard radius arms, with new OEM bushes.

    Are you sure its death wobble? What exactly happens?

    That's stunning! It is however just a bit too far from Pretoria to make it a viable weekend getaway place

    Do you know of - or can recommend any similar places to Marloth Park, Leeupoort & Kranspoort?

  33. Defender Re: How to make a diesel priming kit for your Defender Puma

    Its caused issues for me twice now on exteme inclines.
    Once on Baboons pass, once in Namibia dunes.
  34. Defender Re: How to make a diesel priming kit for your Defender Puma

    Or fit a 2.2 Puma fuel pump. Guess Land Rover realised their mistake of not fitting it to the 2.4's.

    Or use your tyre compressor to pressurise the fuel tank, press the valve in front to let air...
