  1. Re: Hilux Extra Cab GD6 2.4 vs GD6 2.8 which one to buy?

    My opinion.
My work Hilux is 2.4 extra cab manual. And I love it. Averaging about 12km/l. With a aluminum canopy and At tyres. Private Hilux is a 2.8 4x4 auto, and I can say with all honesty, there...

    Re: Maxxis Razr AT-811

Sorry let me just make a correction.
I think the tyre size I had on was rubbish (265x60x18)
I still believe BF's is one of the leaders in tyres, but they just need a new update.

Currently I am running BF's, and to be honest, they are really not that good. So I have 4 used BF's for sale if anyone wants them, about 50% life left.

    Maxxis Razr AT-811

Does anyone have a longer review on this tyre?
    I'm only finding first impressions?
Pricing I see they are now about R300 more expensive than BF's[emoji15]

Re: Gd6 Spotlights without a Nudge Bar

Yeah, tried it. But ended up with a nudge bar.
The problem is they have to mount the spots on the lower part of the bumper, it makes setting up the spots very difficult.
    Also a lot of vibration...

If you want to go fast don't buy a Fortuner.
Get a Gti of an audi Q5 sport or something like that

    I have a 2.8 GD6 and the 2.4 GD6

    Quick trip report.
    Averaged 5km\lt
Traction control must be switched of.
Did 99% of the trip in 4x4 high range.

Must say the Hilux made it look easy.

    Hi all.
How good is the 2.8 hilux auto? I read that it tends to jump gears alot.
Or is the manual better as an all round bakkie.
