    Any decent exhaust shop should be able to bend you a new side step to the same profile or cut out the damaged section and weld in a new section...

    Yes I am aware. There are 2 marks on the dipstick, one for cold and one for hot. Cold is with the engine off. Hot is with the engine running and in neutral once the fluid has warmed up.
