    Re: Toyota scam alert

It's the same scenario as if someone supplies a fake deposit slip as evidence of payment for your vehicle and you release it to the "buyer", the means in the ops case is different but the end result...

Re: Nitecore repairs (out of warranty item)

In the grand scheme of things Led flashlights are pretty low tech devices, the led tech and driver designs does keep on being refined but the basics remain the same year in year out.

    Re: C180 - 2001 - YAW Rate Sensor - Jerking

That's a very dangerous thing to happen and it appears there is no failsafe in the design, if caught unawares or in the wrong situation a wheel locking up could easily cause an accident.

    That...

With that low mileage and age I would definitely just replace the belt only, unless the roller was a known failure issue.

  12. Re: TheQM - They may Smash, but they won’t Snatch!

That's clever, I'll be looking for a seatbelt buckle when I'm next at a scrap yard, easy to DIY one and also handy for when you need to tie down goods to the back seats etc

    Re: FL2 Ait Con onpressor

Could be the aircon clutch, a scrap yard compressor will be fine as long as it's inspected and cleaned before being installed.

    Re: wheel/Lug nut torque specs?

    Re: wheel/Lug nut torque specs?

To my mind even a uncalibrated but high quality torque wrench is better than nothing, as long as it gets you into the correct ballpark of the required torque for most purposes that's sufficient....

Re: Toyota prado 120 start problem

That sounds like some kind of fuel supply issues, maybe the pump has an issue somewhere that needs the time standing to reprime once it depressurises or something of that sort.

    Re: Jimny overheated

Great news, what a relief, mechanics often don't bother to troubleshoot and just throw parts and money at the issue.
