    That pipe was leaking. The towing bloke probably cut a section off and moved the clamp. You can see the hack marks where it was cut off. No wear and tear because it's not a moving part.

    That's a real nice bakkie. Service the engine regularly and it will last you a lifetime.
    If you are going to do longer trips with a heavy load then consider a bigger intercooler ( hot4cold.co.za )...

    Yes and yes. Very very comfortable long distance vehicle. A good 4.5 can be had for anything from 80k to 130k. a good 4.8 can be had from about 140k to 500k. stay away from 3.0 diesel below a 2004....

    You can clean the intercooler yourself with petrol, thinners or paraffin. And a good airgun. It's an absolute pain in the ass to remove though. Good Luck.

    Some mechanics are quick tondiagnose no1 injector on td27. Is it completely dead or does it still give a flicker of hope? If so, its more than likely the crank sensor behing the head than a no 1...
