Re: Problems with Hannibal Tents in Cape Town

Great news that you are finally at peace with this lengthy process, Erik. Deon is bossman at 4x4MW and he will always go out of his way to assist people when the need arises.

    Love your Prado!

    Re: 1997 toyoya prado

Yes, you want it. Mileage is low for these engines, they simply carry on.

You should check, however, when (or if...) the cam belt has been changed, it will need to be done at around that mileage....
  9. Re: Replacing rear brake/taillight bulbs with LEDs - Don't try it

^^ This. The LEDs draw considerably less power than the conventional globes, hence the problem arises because the Management System considers it a fault. Parallel load resistor of suitable wattage...

    Re: LC 200 dead batteries

While it will keep them charged, it would be prudent to measure the voltage across them when the charger is connected and they are fully charged. Should not be higher than about 13.1V.

    Re: LC 200 dead batteries

A Smart Charger should only be connected to one battery at a time, in order to work correctly.

But... having said that, my 1500W Pure Sine Wave Inverter here at home uses two Raylite 105A/Hr...

    Re: Airband receiver?

Duncan, as far as I am aware it is illegal to listen in on Aviation channels, even though you cannot transmit on them. This was the situation years ago, I doubt it has changed since then.

Erik, you can expect a call from the new - reputable - Company involved in this matter. Pretty sure Deon will sort you out.

Please update your post once this is done.

    Re: Dual Batrery setup Question

Remember to insert a suitable fuse as close as possible to the +ve terminal at the main battery, for safety reasons. 35A should do the trick.

Run a decent thick wire, do not rely on the chassis or body for conduction of heavy currents.

  18. Re: 1st Hand Advise Needed - Fazer 170 Boat (somewhat urgent)

    Petri,

This is the standard prop that I bought with the boat, works very well and handled everything I expected it to. Three blade, 13 x 19-K.

  23. Re: 1st Hand Advise Needed - Fazer 170 Boat (somewhat urgent)

  24. Re: 1st Hand Advise Needed - Fazer 170 Boat (somewhat urgent)

I don't think you could go wrong with this, I have this exact same rig, hours probably about the same. The difference between the 115HP & 130HP engines is purely that the 115HP version uses a...

    Nice one, Eric L.

Enjoy it for many miles, I remember seeing one of those parked on the pavement outside a local Vehicle Dealer's for months as an advertising stunt, quite impressive.
