    If you have a Nanocom, go into BCU and look for air conditioning present, yes/no. Change to no.. I don't know the exact phrase/ description used but it is there.

    That will remove the "noise"...

    Have you checked the wiring connectivity between the sensor and the ECU? Maybe it's been chafed or damaged. That's 17 yr old wiring....
