Gaan daar nie 'n Woopa 7 die jaar wees nie? Alles so stil.
  2. Re: Jimny damage on roof where the roof rack fits on to the roof

I'd guess the same as having and driving a car faster than 120Km/h. You use it outside its stated parameters, you take the responsibility if something happens.

Correct. Airports and airfields. If it has a runway designation its a no-fly zone out to 10 Km.

    Re: Hankook Dynapro MT

Have a set on the Jimny. Milage not a parameter for me, so I cannot comment on that. Probably not so great as one will swap then out way before the tread legal limit due to the way muds work.

Re: Karoo national park 4x4 vehicle required?

I did the (free Eco) 4x4 routes a while back and although they can be done with a normal high clearance 2 wheel drive, except Pienaars Pass which is a paid route where you need low range, I was told...

    Re: Jimny operating temperature

Drove a 4x4 trail on a farm in the Karoo one very hot December. On a really steep, long climb, low range 1st, at very slow speed (no airflow through radiator except from fan) and with mid to high 40s...

Water down the ducks back. I have long ago learned to shrug off comments from the less knowledgable.

    Re: Jimny Door Rattle Issues

You buy a vehicle costing what a Jimny cost and expected a Ferrari's built quality? I'm very easy to look past the odd rattle, but honestly the door built quality is definitely not lower than bakkies...

    Re: Alignment after lift?

Because wheel pressure is one of the parameters affecting wobble.Wheel pressure changes the "springyness" of the tyre, the very thing that store and release the oscilating energy of the wobble.
  14. Re: To map or not to map Fortuner GD-6 4x4 is the question???

Maybe because the Toyota experts have to develope a map to suit thousands of vehicles engines which they only have the design/manufacturing tolerance specs of, not the specific vehicle the tune shop...

  16. Re: Legality of drones in SA, Botswana, and Namibia?

Was at Addo last weekend and there you have to declare your drone even if you do not intend unpacking it. Probably the same at other SAN Parks reserves too.

    Re: Alignment after lift?

Before one can comment some info is needed. Was the lift done with longer springs or was it done with body spacers? With springs the suspension geometry changed in caster but not necessary in toe...

I always wonder what the reason is behind the massively inflated death toll for Chernobyl.

Re: Chernobyl - a wildlife haven. Would you go?

    Something very few people understand.

It is not the isotopes with the very long half lives that are the most worrying, it is the ones with very short half lives. The longer an isotope takes to...

I'm a bit confused. 62.5Kw and 110 Nm is factory spec engine power and torque, not on the wheels like those you get on a rolling road dynomometer which is lower due to the drivetrain losses. Or did...
