    Re: Is this it?

Something else to keep in mind regarding sales volumes, is that smart money is probably holding out at this stage and not yet buying. As the LR sales guy I spoke to said, this is still the honeymoon...

    Re: Is this it?

There are already a couple driving around these parts. Saw a white one parked at the beach yesterday morning. Owner was probably out surfing. They definitely appear to sell better than the Wrangler...
  3. Re: Used Land Rovers are half the top ten slowest sellers in USA

How does 68 days compare to average time to sell in South Africa. It feels like a loooooooong time?
  4. Re: JK 4dr Long Haul Overlander - reliability/preventative maintanance

If you have your mind set on a JK, get one. It isn't a natural overlander, though. There are vehicles that are better suited to the task. It is not meant to carry load.
Coming from a RR, how about a...

Pardon my ignorance, but what is the purpose of a dual tone hooter? Is it louder?

    Re: Is this it?

Well, one thing I've never quite understood, is why there are so many Defenders driving around Cape Town, but so few 7x-series Cruisers? Maybe I'm not seeing the big picture, but it seems like there...

    Re: Cape Town Harbour experts?

Yes, "that thing" is what I'm after. It isn't the primary waste line, as that pipe runs into the sea. But it could be related to waste processing?

    Cape Town Harbour experts?

What is this breakwater doing there? I assume it is protecting something, but what?

    Amarok flatspot/surge at 1900 rpm

My Amarok has developed a mild flat spot or faint lag/surge around 1900-2000 rpm. Probably more a flat spot than a surge, but something is definitely off in that rev range. I first noticed it a while...

Re: Jk Unlimited 3.6 fuel consumption

I had a 2013. It still had the 6 speed automatic, IIRC. Or was it a 5 speed? Can't remember. Either way, it wasn't the 8 speed.
    I ran 33's on a 2 inch lift. I averaged around 15 l/100km. When you...

Hi Bots guys, has the situation changed at all? I just heard that the fuel shortage is actually becoming a real concern?
  15. Original Discovery 4 Dog Guard replacement parts?

I've just sold an old original Disco 4 dog guard on to a new owner. Problem is that apparently two fitment bolts are missing. They must have remained behind when the guard was removed. This was two...
  16. Poll: Re: Poll: Will you buy the new Ford engineered and built Amarok?

I clicked no and I drive an Amarok. But I'm not going to buy a VW-built Amarok again either, so I feel the poll is missing some options.
  17. Sourcing a rear light cluster - Cape Town area

I'm slowly fixing up all the niggles on my Amarok with a view of selling it in the relatively near future. One of the things which I need to fix, is a crack in one of the rear brake light clusters....

    Re: MTB ratchet set

I used to go by feel and it worked pretty well. However, with carbon, I decided to buy a proper torque wrench. Got one from CWC, if I remember correctly. To be honest, I haven't really used it much,...

    Re: Back seat cup holder!

Just get a toddler to step on it. Mine broke off long ago. One day I'll need to fix it, but not yet. It'll just get stepped on again.
  21. Re: How long will we be able to keep the internal combustion engine running?

I think it will be supported by an aging demographic (with a couple of exceptions). With time EV's will eclipse the current vehicles in all areas. Young petrolheads will become young voltheads and...

    Re: Gas and paraffin lights

I also dug up two gas lights recently. I couldn't throw them out. Too many memories. I'm way too sentimental and bit of a hoarder, I know.
I cannot see myself using them again, so they'll have to go...

With what should I replace my Disco 4?

I have started looking at a replacement for my 2017 Disco 4. It is Swambo's daily and we use it for trips and holidays. It is perfect for our needs, but I'm allergic to D4's outside warranty/service...

At some stage I will need to replace this one too. Central locking has long ago decided to also ignore the tailgate.
But it has never fallen out and works well with a key. Good luck.

Re: Would you buy a Lexus LX 570?
