    My camping fridge (40 lt bushbaby) keeps everything frozen at - 10. I've heard that it is beter to keep a fridge running than using it every now or.. How true that is, I don't know.

    Best sultion according to me would be to find a remote camping spot close to where you are now, Negotiate a long term rate, stock up and relax for a while.

    A little rust I can deal with. I like the fact that it is original.. Engine still running good but wondering if those 1300's can still be successfully re-engineered? Will be investing a bit in the car

    For short stays put up my small canvas frame tent and for long stays a bigger setup. Small frame tent only takes 10 minutes or so.

    Those 4x4 tracks are routes to those camps so no. You have to book at those camps to travel those routes. There are plenty water holes at the river beds where you won't find any other vehicles...

    Add 1 or 2 potatoes chopped in to small blocks to the pot early in the cooking process. Might need a bit of white wine with. That would automatically thicken the pot.
