    Re: Prado LC120 V6 200 000km service cost est.

Logically it does not make sense to sell. Personal opinion is that the LC120 is becomming a legend in it's own lifetime. Such an easy vehicle to live with. Comfortable, spacious, reliable and...

    Re: Suspension Lock(down)

Would air helpers not assist with reducing the movement quite a bit if inflated to max? You would still have some movement through the tyre and airbags. But should help a bit.

Re: why do drum brakes still exist?

This has been boggling my mind for years as well. I replaced my 1992 golf gts rear drums with gti disks after spending an inordinate amount of time fixing the drums. The improvement in braking was...

  10. Re: Global NCAP zero stars for the 2019 Nissan NP300 Hardbody

Firstly airbags don't activate that easily. There has to be reasonable g force and deformation before they activate. Secondly what if your wife hit the kudu or a proper tree?

    I have had various...

Suspension Re: Buying an old hilux - looking for advice

I do agree with the above, OME is...

Thanks Vormoto. Fortunately very little paint on the vehicle paintwork. Current plan. 1. Pressure washer (low probability of success based on the bits I tried to scratch off). 2. Acetone. 3. Wear and...

Suspension Re: Modifying my Rav4 Gen 1 Awd

We used to have a grey 3dr. They are way more capable off road than most people think. We did a couple of proper 4x4 trails as well as many beach trips with it.

    Enjoy it, looks great.

Discovery 2: Re: Disco 2 V8 will not go into low range

Re: Prado 120 V6 Diff noise

Update, went back to toyota and they inspected the vehicle again and confirmed left rear wheelbearing. Quote around R7k to replace, eina. Has anyone done a replacement in JHB recently?
  35. Re: Toyota 4.0 Is the fuel consumption really that bad?

Just went through the same process and ended up buying the prado v6. Go drive both. And if you do buy one do not try to calculate your fuel consumption, it spoils an otherwise pleasant experience.
