Discovery 1 Re: Facet pump for 300 Tdi

What is the max psi on your pump. I have a max 10psi Facet pump.
Not sure if the pressure is too high.

Although I've seen higher rated pump fitted on 300Tdi's.

This video might help, I watched it a while ago.

Defender Re: What have you done with your Defender today?

Unfortunately the nice new pump and it's older twin is 10psi pumps.
    They aren't cheap.

    I need max 4.5psi.

I have an old one like fitted to the old V8's, but it's bigger.
    I'm still deciding.

Before you fork out that amount of money check the one way valve in the cyclone oil breather.

The vacuum pump dumps the air it vacuumed into the crankcase.

I completed the rest of the service today. Diffs, gearboxes, wheels and brakes.

So the "double gasket fix" didn't work, somewhere along the line I missed the difference between oil and diesel.

Re: What to check after wading in my 300tdi

Let it stand for a day or two then drain a little bit from the diffs, gearbox and engine.

The water will settle at the bottom so you will see if any water was ingested.

Not familiar with the 4.6l, does it have 3 rows of head bolts?

If so the bottom row was later omitted by LR aa it caused head gasket failures.
