    How did you seal the heater's wire where it goes into your bucket? If not properly sealed the carbon dioxide will exit at that point (least resistance) and you won't see much bubbling in the airlock....

    No, the charger doesnt 'push' amps, it applies a specific voltage and the battery will take as much amps as it needs up to the limit the charger can give.
