    Re: Romer coolboxes has competition

Problem with the Rohmer is everyone has one and at "bring your chop and dop " parties, especially our hunting club guys there's a row of identical green boxes all with fat guys sitting on them ;D;D

Re: Toyota Full Inspection - R980

Well, I'd probably stick around and watch them as a Toyota dealer in JHB's South saw fit to perform my Prado's 80 000 km service on the wash bay.
  5. Re: Prado 150 V6, 220,00km preventative maintenance

[QUOTE=Blue Shirt;4446773]Just stop using the cruise control, then you won't have that problem (if you want to call it a problem).

Toyota employed an appy software engineer to program the cruise...
  6. Re: Prado 150 V6, 220,00km preventative maintenance

Your choice, all I know I'd rather have a 12 year old Prado than a 12 year old Jeep, hell I'd rather have a 20 year old Prado. ;D
  7. Re: Prado 150 V6, 220,00km preventative maintenance

Done a few mods tho, bunch of extras added, decatted and an airbox mod that made quite a difference.
  8. Re: Prado 150 V6, 220,00km preventative maintenance

I've had my 150 tx for years, love it, nothing needed apart from regular services. I do have a new gearbox filter and WS oil in the cupboard, but it shifts smoothly that I'm in two minds to scratch...

    Re: 2000 Toyota Prado

This one is a short wheel base! A bit of a hen's tooth in nice condition, they were brought in in limited numbers, as far as I'm aware all were the GX spec and diesels with manual transmission.

    If...

    Re: Inverter advice

Thanks for the advice, no, dedicated solarwall plug may get used for routers and charging a phone whilst load shedding, but definitely no power hungry things.

So I should maybe just accept that...

    Inverter advice

I've decided to upgrade my inverter and small solar / battery system.

What I have and probably will want to keep is 4 x Canadian 330w panels (only 2 connected for now) and 2 x 200a Narada...

    Re: 4WD Rally conversion

I had to step back from Motorsport, as I started trying to spend grocery money on tyres and other "upgrades" It was very addictive and expensive to even have a hope of being competitive.

Re: Does anyone know this Cruiser?

Except if the dealer got it from another dealer, or they told previous owner that they terrible sellers and gave him R200k below trade and now asking R100k over because it's such a great find ;D

    Re: 500w inverter question

All those bumpers and roof racks as well as meaty tires all unfortunately worsen the fuel consumption.

Re: Prado 120 load bay door issues.

Once the door was sorted the issue was resolved and never rattled again, no need to strip any panels off, it comes apart on the edge of the door. Google it a bit it's a known issue with lots of pics.

Re: 1998 Land Cruiser Prado 3.0 KZTE

Perfect time to test, replace left ball joint with genuine and right with "quality" replacement part. Drive for 300 0000 and see which lasts better?
  34. Re: IFS Hilux: Cheap and "buggered" vs expensive and showroom

As far as I can remember the (earlier) 2.7 had airbags as Std, KZTE not? I sold my 2.7 SRX for a Prado and fuel consumption was about the same as the 120 V6.

I had a KZTE 2x4 and I loved it as...
