    Re: I bought a hatchet

Not the first time I've seen you post about those two, and hopefully not the last. They are things of beauty and you are a machine!

    Re: I bought a hatchet

It not a complete list, and I'm not an expert, but that's generally it.

The problem is they're all actually quite useful, so you end up with a small cache of them before you know it, and then...

    Re: I bought a hatchet

A 'boys axes' (from what I've seen) seems to typically refer to a boys felling axe, so smaller bit, but with a felling pattern and grind. Basically a shrunk down felling axe to suit the smaller...

    Re: I bought a hatchet

There aren't too many, but as far as I know:

    Hatchet ±900g, ±300mm
    Small axe ±900-1200g, 450mm
    Boys/limbing axe ±1200g, ±600-700mm
    Felling axe ±2-2500g, ±900mm

    Then double bit and splitters...

    Re: I bought a hatchet

I'm certainly no guru, but the trick I've found to getting a knife sharp enough to shave is to to strop it on leather. All he sharpening produces a fine bur, and stropping removes that.

  7. Re: Preventing reverse current in domestic solar power installation?

Where does the circuit trip? Is it on your DB, or is there a breaker on you prepaid meter, or is it the main supply in the box outside?

The 'very short duration' is most likely plenty to time to...

    Re: I bought a hatchet

I'm not a massive fan of the steel handle axes, but I'm curious to see what you do, personally, I'd maybe blue it? Yellow handle not my taste at all, I'll wait and see what you do to that.

    To be...

    Re: Moving through the ranks

Congratulations! I also eyed one when My PS was in for service, but I'm still far too enamoured with the Sport to change.

    Re: Pajero Sport Thread

What is the correct tyre size for a 2014 PS? Mine has 245/55/R17's, but it seems they should be 265/65/17?
  11. Re: Pajero sport coolant loss through radiator cap

Just some feedback, about 1500km done after repair, and all is well.
  12. Re: VW Caravelle 4 Motion T4, 3,2 V6 Manual....Yay or Nay?

As a vehicle for long trip, my Kombi was great. Super comfortable, very (VERY) spacious. Around town it was good, it's an awesome driving position.

Mine was just a Kombi, so hopefully the...
  13. Re: Pajero sport coolant loss through radiator cap

Keeping an eye on it, but I pushed on a bit this afternoon and all seems fine. Real test will be on Friday when I go home, but so far it seems sorted
  14. Re: Pajero sport coolant loss through radiator cap

It wasn't;t an easy start with this dealership, but they are winning me over. The technician that works on my car is a good one, he could see I was. bit nervous this morning, and before I left, came...
  15. Re: Pajero sport coolant loss through radiator cap

Car went in for this today. The test procedure is pretty robust, lots of pressure testing, fluid level testing, stressing the motor, etc., to ensure there is no damage to head gasket or other leaks. ...
  16. Re: Advice on recently purchased used 2016 Pajero 3.2 LWB GLS

My Pajero did not brake on downhills with cruise control, as mentioned, change to tiptronic and gear down. On my auto PS, it also does not slow you when on cruise control. Only vehicle I've had that...
  17. Re: Pajero sport coolant loss through radiator cap

Thanks Jelo, yes, I've been through those items, and the only one I can't test is the cap itself, which it turns out is under a recall, to be replaced with a higher rated one by Mitsubishi. Coolant...
  18. Re: Pajero sport coolant loss through radiator cap

    1. No oil on radiator cap or in the reservoir, and no water on the oil filler cap or dipstick, so, I don't suspect that. The vehicle has not 'overheated'. Though I don't know if boiling out of the...
  19. Re: Pajero sport coolant loss through radiator cap

That seems a bit extreme for a few millimetres of coolant loss?

  23. Re: Pajero sport coolant loss through radiator cap

For the 2.5 HO? Mine is 1.1bar, any info on the updated rating?
  24. Pajero sport coolant loss through radiator cap

At a bit of a loss here. My 2015 2.5 PS boiled (?) out of the radiator cap twice this weekend. Once after my drive back home (around 350km), after standing for about half an hour I noticed a small...

I don't see why not. Out method is pretty simple. Get a decent fire going and whack the trimmed spare rib on whole. Turn as required, bone side does not need to be cooked very long. This part can be...

    Re: Pork Rib

How soft are we talking here? The method I was taught gets them pretty soft enough that the meat peels off the bone, and requires around an hour from putting raw ribs on the fire to serving.
