    Portable ready made power kits

These look nice, but why do they go through all the trouble to build such nice units and then fit it with very low battery capacity.

I mean 426Wh == 33Ah lead acid battery capacity (usable)

    and...

Convert your poles to be adjustable/telescopic as low as possible ( so called aussie clamps). Use only large pegs. I fix the ropes permanently to the tent, not just hooking over the pole tip. Adjust...

Re: mecer inverter to a mppt controller?

Just ensure that kit includes one of their BMS's. I also recommend you add, in addition, an active balancer. Only R500 extra for the AB but very good insurance. I see the 4S AB is sold out at LBSA...

Re: mecer inverter to a mppt controller?

They will not both charge at full pace one will take over... can connect both but one will see a full battery and the other will take over. There is no reason to have switching.

No inverter/charger will "see" a MPPT solar controller connected directly to the batteries - just do it. No need for switching between Solar and AC, leave it all connected. The one that supplies the...
